Subject: Aaron Israel turns pro
The Washington Post mentioned today that Harvard goalie Aaron Israel
turned pro with the Flyers. Being that this is The Washington Post,
there are no further details. If I recall correctly, he just finished
his sophomore season.

I was going to post the Boston Globe article relating to this, but I
forgot to bring the paper to work....
It did say, in short, that Israel, who's just finished his sophomore
season, signed a four year deal with the Flyers. (Actually, there was
confliciting info in the article. One Flyer person said the deal was
inked, but Israel's agent said it was going to be signed before this week
was through.)
Israel said that many of his friends though his move was "stupid" and it
was VERY clear from quotes from Harvard coach Ron Tomasonni that he was
not at all happy with Israel's move....
