A couple of notes regarding the list I posted yesterday.
First, THANKS to everyone who has replied. I think I've answered
everyone, but in the event that you didn't get a response see below.
Almost every message I received pointed out errors in the NHL teams
associated with the players. Those aren't actual errors, but it is
a big error on my part that I forgot to mention this in the original
post:
NHL team refers to the team(s) the player appeared with during the
1992-93 season. Any changes due to trade, expansion, relocation to
Dallas, etc. will not be reflected in the list. I use 1992-93 team
for a few reasons...1) it coincides with the stats, 2) it's static
(including 1993-94 team would mean the list would constantly need
revision as players moved), and 3) it allows everyone to see which
NHL team used the most/least former collegians in a given year,
namely 1992-93. (I haven't bothered to calculate it, but my guess
is that Boston, New Jersey and maybe St Louis are up there as far
as having collegians on their roster.)
Again, a hearty thanks for all of the responses I've already received.
