Since this is the 1st time I've had internet access since May, I'm not sure
if this was posted but since it occurred on Friday or Saturday, I'll take
a chance.
Michigan Tech coach Newell Brown was named as the new head coach for the
American Hockey League champion Adirondack Red Wings. Brown will take over
a talented young team which has the potential to cause more trouble for the AHL
in defense of its crown. Brown compiled a 29-47-1 (I think it was 1 tie) record
in 2 years with MTU. He becomes one of the youngest coaches in the pro hockey
ranks (30 yrs old) and he replaces Barry Melrose who is now coaching the LA K
Kings.
Again, if this was posted, I apologize.
