If I recall correctly, when the Devils had just selected Mike Van Ryn in the
1st round, ESPN mentioned something about Van Ryn being a year older than the
rest of the 1st rounders because if he had made himself available to the NHL a
year earlier, he would have given up his college elidgibility, so I don't
think we'll see any of those players in college.

I was quite curious about this myself when I saw this.... They are both from
Massachusettes, but Mike went to high school at St. Sebastian's while Jay went
to Burlington high school... I asked a friend of mine who knows college
hockey better than I do about it, and she's pretty sure they are cousins.
