The UMaine band played "On Wisconsin" as well in 1993, and it worked as the
majority of UW fans did cheer rather openly and loudly for Maine in both the
OT win over Michigan, and the great comeback win over Lake State.
It seemed to also open a new age in UW neutrality in cheering. Many UW fans
told me in Providence last year that they were cheering for Maine because of
the respect Maine had shown their (Wisconsin's) program in 1993.
Take this however as you wish, I'm just relating some facts.
