The Miami Redskins bounced back to post a 5-2 win over the Flames
of Illinois-Chicago. Andrew Miller scored twice, including an
empty-netter from right in front of his own net, to boost the
'Skins. UIC goaltender Adam Lord stood tall stopping at least
3 or 4 breakaways until Adam Copeland finally broke his string,
clinching the game by scoring over Lord's left shoulder to put Miami
back up by 2 goals.
Miami has a week to prepare for a big weekend at home next weekend.
Friday night, Michigan comes to town, followed the next night by a
hungry Michigan State team. Miami needs three points next weekend
to stand a good chance of moving into fourth place and possibly
hosting the mid-week #4 vs. #5 playoff before Detroit.
