As Erik reminded us, what exactly is the significance of pre-season
polls? Typically, the poll remains that exactly that way for about
one week of action.
 
Bearing that in mind, maybe Maine should be happy that people are
writing them off. Maybe teams will overlook them and not appreciate
how good they really are.
