As I see it, and what a warped universe we have here, the aim is for clean,
fast skate and pass hockey. Now you might not start out with people who
can fly, but most of the fun is reaching for something that you don't have
yet. I think developing the slow of foot and heavy of hand into something
better is the challenge.

Anyone can play hack and hook. Now you can say there are better ways to
hide it from the ref - heck you can take advanced degrees on the subject!!!
or you can do it in such a manner that it wins you more games - but who
cares? Yes, yes, yes I know - most hockey people. But that's the problem,
as first put forth in this discussion. When I tell people I like to watch
women's college ice hockey - that ends the conversation - and a good thing
it is too. The view is hockey is a goon game. And there are so many
leagues for that, why not keep the college game tidy (well maybe like
Britain: why don't we GET the college game tidy?)
