Since other people have already posted recaps of the games, I just wanted
to add a few thoughts about ther series:
 
-The stories of the series had to be Jason Blake and Steve Debus.  Blake
had a 5 goal series and on Saturday they came at VERY critical times.
For UM, DeBus was the story.  Without him, they scores would have been
around 12-4 and 10-2 for the two nights.
 
-The Sioux still have a problem with keeping a guy in front of the net
while they are on offense.  Often, the puck would go to the corner and
three guys would go after it.  This left two or three gopher players in
front of the net on defense and no guys from UND.
 
-For Aaron Schweitzer, the question is did he face enough quality shots
to consider this a career series.  Many of the shots that he faced were
not tough, but when he had to make the saves he did.  He now has a win
(or wins) against UM, CC, BU, (and UW?).
 
-UND FINALLY used its physical conditioning advantage.  The third period
of Saturday's game was all UND and that was becuase the Sioux kept the
pressure up.  They did not sit on the lead after going ahead 3-2 or 4-2.
Hopefully, this is a sign of things to come.
 
-Kudos the the UND fans who got in line at 1 PM to be some of the first
people in.  It will be interesting to see how many people are in line for
the next series (Northern Michigan).
 
-UND is now 3-0-0 when Marilyn Manson's song "Beautiful People" is played
for the warm-ups.
 
-All in all, UND now has to be the favorite to win the WCHA.  The nice
people at the WCHA definately did UND a favor this year for the scheduling.
