I think the point was simply that a "local" NCAA appearance could help
a program like Lowell to solidify its growing fan base and continue to
improve it and build its program.
 
I do not recall that Dave or anyone else ever said or suggested that
Lowell deserved an East bid because of this.
 
Rather, the belief that I think Dave and I share is that attendance
should not be the deciding factor for teams who are not hosting the
regional, which Cornell is not.
