In response to your post, about after the Lowell fans chanting Merrimack,
I think the BU fans responded not with "Black Bears" but with
"Banner!  Banner!", and pointing towards the National Championship Banner.
 
By the way, although I am a huge BU fan and season ticket holder, I
was quite impressed by the Lowell fans in their numbers and loudness.
They and Maine fans are definitely the fans that sit the most rival noise.
