        Not to mention that if someone else wins the ECAC tourney,
only two of those teams have to "earn" spots for the ECAC to get three
bids.  In fact, as things stand now, UVM, SLU and Clarkson are 9, 10,
and 11 (not including Maine), so it might be conceivable that the ECAC
get *four* bids, were it not for the fact that the #12 team is Lowell,
who would have to be let in to give Hockey East the minimum of two
bids.  How's that for irony?

        Just thought I should re-iterate the disclaimer after such
wild speculation. :-) (Not to mention the downplaying of the RPI this
year.)
