OK, I'll bite. Based on 1994-95 performance, I'd
say Michigan's most honored opponent is Charles
Thuss, Miami goaltender. Thuss absolutely stole
a victory for Miami at Yost on Friday night, then was
pummeled early on Saturday but hung tough long
enough to get the Redskins back into the game.
In the sole meeting at Miami, Thuss held the Wolverines
to a single goal in a 2-0 (empty net) Michigan win.

Career achievement might be Bowling Green's
Brian Holzinger, who used to eat Michigan for lunch,
but UM completely closed down 'Zinger in three
meetings this year.

Of course, UIC head coach Larry Pedrie gets some
recognition for still being a thorn in UM's side several
years after leaving Michigan (Berenson's assistant)
for the UIC job. This year, all three UM-UIC games
were 5-4 contests, with each team winning one in OT
and Michigan winning the other late in the third period.

Or Blair Allison, if one 100:28 game is enough for
consideration. :-(
