If "they" implies Coach Jeff Sauer, then they are not complaining,
just this one fan is:  Coach Sauer said on his show last night that
he would have liked to have gotten a higher seed (he did not say
anything about the #3 seed).  He also said something to the effect
that you get what you get, you just have to play the games.
 
Personally, I think the #3/#4 seed debate is reasonable, with both
sides providing good arguments.  But, who cares?  Wisconsin and
Minnesota are ALWAYS in the NCAA tournament, so their fans ought to
be ecstatic (I am; I wish all the Division I teams were in it:
let's see, Michigan opens up against Army).
 
Anyway, above all else, I hope all of the players stay healthy during
the tournament.
