Mike mentioned at the end of a long article that certain teams don't
benefit from the money taken in by the NC$$ hockey tournament.  A
couple of people picked up on this.  My understanding is that only the
Div-I schools receive money from the NC$$.  This leaves out the 17
(out of 44) Div-II and Div-III schools (including all but Wisconsin
and Minnesota in the WCHA, if I remember correctly).
 
Hard as at is for me to fathom, Siena College of Loudonville, NY
receives a part of this money, but RPI doesn't.
