Say it ain't so !!! :-( Now we'll have to *pay* to attend the Hobey
ceremony, after it's been free and open to the public (contrary to the
above hype) for as long as I've been going to the NC$$ Championships (my
first was 1984 in Lake Placid) !?!? I will be *extremely* disappointed
if this is indeed the case, as I've always considered attendance at the
Hobey ceremony one of the highlights of the whole weekend (after the
HOCKEY-L dinner, of course :-) Way to go NC$$ and (the organization in
St. Paul that sponsors the Hobey whose name I've just spaced on) - you've
bought into the media hype and sense of inflated self-importance as
deeply as The DownTown Athletic Club in New York (sponsors of the Heisman
Trophy) .... Just another few feet down the slippery slope towards
ruining the "this is our little Championship" feel that I've always felt
was one of its best features. Sigh ....

   Sadly .... Jim

Go Blue !!
