I thought that I would start a new thread in order to relieve us of the
burden of waiting for the weekend of games...I was wondering what fans
of the CCHA and especially LSSU think about the future if their teams
I mean look at Joe Blaznek for LSSU who seeing the first significant
ice time this weekend turned in a three point performance (1 goal, and
2 assists). I have had the pleasure of seeing Joe play and unfortunately
I have also had the pleasure to face his shot and let me tell you that I
have played hockey for 16 years and I've played net for the last 12.
To try to make my point in less time, it seems to me that the coaches
of the CCHA are uneasy playing young untested potential players and the
ultimate question I have is why? I mean Joe is a Freshman although he
graduated from HS in 93 so he does have the experience under his belt
(1 year HS, 2 Years Junior A) Why would the coach of LSSU sit on his
instead of exposing it especially since LSSU is having anything but a
stellar year, why not mix things up and see what the younger guys can
do?? Trust me Joe has the moves like none other and you fans of LSSU
had better hope that he plans to stay at LSSU because I talked to him
over the break and he said he wasn't sure if he would go back next if
he is just going to sit on the bench for another year. I mean this guy
just wants to prove himself and I guess you could call me biased but
I have followed college hockey seriously for the last 8 years and he
has the goods that few others have (Kariya, Rolston, etc....) I am
sorry to ramble on but I would be very interested in what you guys
think and if any of you had the opportunity to see LSSU last weekend
let me know what you thought of Joe...It would be a waste to let someone
so talented to slip away...
