Michigan Tech had four representatives at the recently completed U.S.
Olympic Festival in St. Louis. Senior right wing Randy Stevens (Sault Ste.
Marie, Mich.) helped Team South to the Gold Medal (Team South beat Team
North 8-7 in overtime for the Gold) with two goals and two assists in four
games. Stevens had all four of his points in two games vs. Team North,
which was coach by MTU head coach Bob Mancini. Junior center Pat Mikesch
(Hancock, Mich.) was a member of Mancini's Team North and had three goals
and four assists in four games. Sophomore forward Jeff Mikesch (Hancock,
Mich./and yes, Pat's brother) had 0-2--2 in four games to help Team West to
the Bronze Medal. That's it for now. Sorry for the delay in getting this
info. out.
