I guess i just don't understand the rational for punishing these
innocent victims for the excesses of others.  Punish the coach.
Punish the AD, Punish the compliance officer, but DON'T take it out on
the athletes.  Don't take it out on the parents of the athletes.
 
If maine, the institution, or maine, the athletic department, needs to
be punished, then punish them.  Have them yield all revenues from a
tournament if need be.  Insist on sanctions for the administrators if
need be.
