Re InLine
I'm looking at it this way. Cost - it is a lot less expensive to play
inline vs ice. It just HAS to be.
From a rink owner's prospective, it HAS to be cheaper to run in-line
rather than ice. We're seeing more and more rinks here going to in-line
over the summer, rather than run the compressors (ie big $$$) during the
warm months.
BTW ice in the DC area is around 225 - 250 / hr. Same rink for inline
rents for about 80-90 / hr.
If we cannot get the cost of ice hockey controlled, inline could be
poised to become dominant.
