As a member of the RPI Pep Band you can expect this to be a little biased... but:
We are positioned directly behind the goal at Houston Field House, so
we usually have a pretty good view. The third period controversial goal, as
it has been called, was very close to being a bad call. I don't know the rule books, but when the offensive player is pushed by at least one (maybe two)
of the defense into the crease on a shot, I don't think that's illegal.
When the goalie got hit it was during a pre-shot rush lead by an RPI
player (Pasco?) who was being back-checked by at least one Clarkson player,
I would say he tried to stop, but there's a wee bit of momentum there. If he
didn't try, well then... Besides the shot was off the rebound, by Askew.
Also earlier a shot by RPI (1st period) was cancelled by a call in the crease that I felt was very questionable. So maybe it evens out...

LET'S GO YOU RED!!
Ps: Nice show by the Clarkson band, who sounded quite good (especially after
we screwed up Louie, Louie).
