Yesterday, the Boston Bruins signed former RPI forward and Canadian Olympic
team star Joe Juneau to a contract. Juneau led all scorers in the Olympics
with 15 points on six goals and nine assists.

The Bruins did not disclose the terms of the contract, but reports have
stated that it is a two-year contract with an option year, with a base
salary of around $225,000 per year and a signing bonus of between $250,000
and $300,000, depending on how many games Juneau plays over the next two or
three years. The deal was finalized after Juneau gave up a couple requests,
including one for a no-trade clause. The contract goes into effect next
year. Juneau may see action as early as this Saturday against the Chicago
Blackhawks.

Also, with a little less fanfare, former Cornell forward Kent Manderville
signed a three-year deal with the Toronto Maple Leafs and began workouts
with the team Monday. He will be going on the Leafs' upcoming road trip.
