Here's the final update I sent to all the people who asked for it, about
an hour and a half ago. Wasn't sure if I should have sent it here, but
here it is. I'm sure there are some other poeple who would like to know.
(last update)
Shots for the period in (). I didn't hear them for the 3rd.
1st 2nd 3rd
USA(3-0-0) 1(6) 1(13) 2 - 4
FIN(2-1-0) 0(7) 1(12) 0 - 1
1st: USA1, Scott Young (un) 18:44
2nd: FIN1, Mikko Makela (?) 9:42 SHG
USA2, Tim Sweeney (Lachance, CJ Young) 13:55
3rd: USA3, Sean Hill (Shawn McEachern) 9:52 PPG
USA4, Scott Young (un) 13:08 SHG
No even strength goals allowed in almost 8 periods.
Radio says Poland game is on at 2:15 pm EST Saturday, NOT 7 am, so times
continue to change. That would mean it would be live on CBS. CBS won't
pass up a chance to show the undefeated US team pounding someone (if that
happens). Tape of the Finland game should be on TNT this afternoon, no
one in the US showed it live.
Radio (someone and John Davidson) were impressed by USA, how they elevated
their game to a higher level. Strong all-around game; best defensive
game of the tourney. USA seems to be in good shape and mentally ready
to play, says radio. They wondered if Peterson might play Dunham and/or
Gordon Saturday.
USA now 9-1 in last 10 games.
Italy beat Poland 7-1 this morning. Sweden plays Germany in an hour.
Thanks for reading!
