For those of you interested in the continuing saga of the new UMass-Lowell
nickname/logo, here's an update.
 
As reported before the four "finalists" are:
 
        Raging Rapids
        Lightening
        River Hawks
        Osprey
 
I received a FAX from the director of Alum Affairs today with the
corresponding logo for each nickname, soliciting my vote.  The decision
will announced May 6th.  If there are any alumnae out there who might
interested be interested in voting, let me know and I can either FAX you
the logos or put you in touch with the proper people at UML.
 
[My current inkling is to go with "River Hawks"]
