Mahoney is a senior. The only three forwards returning next year from the
top three lines will be Donovan, Salsman, Sandholm, and Basaraba. Some
mighty big shoes to fill.

Probably not the parent club right away. That's a tough squad to make, and
most players need some time in the minors. Ed leaving early has been
speculated on since his first year with Lowell. Coach Crowder has referred to
having to replace *at least* two defensemen next year. The two seniors are
David Mayes and David Barrozino. I'm not sure that it's iron-clad that Ed
is leaving, but it sure looks probable.
BTW, speaking of defense, there've been times lately when Dman Mike Nicholishin
has spent time up front on the power play.
