I know that points don't matter when selecting a Hobey, and I know that the
person with the most points in the nation isn't always chosen as the MVP,
but looking at the percentage of goals scored by one person, and the
percentage of goals that they've been part of shows who helps most in the
goals for column.
Each of the perople listed below is the points leader for their team.
(Seymour and Savage are NOT current, because they are not in the top of the
league and the WCHA site was a few weeks behind)
G A P Team Goals Goal % Pts %
Teeder Wynne UND 23 37 60 153 15.03% 39.22%
Brian Bonin UM 25 39 64 172 14.53% 37.21%
David Vallieres UAA 20 15 35 98 20.41% 35.71%
Shawn Carter UW 14 24 38 127 11.02% 29.92%
Antti LaaksonenDU 18 23 41 142 12.68% 28.87%
Peter Geronazzo CC 31 24 55 195 15.90% 28.21%
Mike Peluso UMD 24 13 37 132 18.18% 28.03%
Dean Seymour NMU 10 12 22 79 12.66% 27.85%
Dave ParadiseSCSU 17 16 33 121 14.05% 27.27%
Andre Savage MTU 9 21 30 126 7.14% 23.81%
Say what you will about the numbers. I'll keep quiet except to point out
that Dave Vallieres scored 1/5th of his teams goals. Pretty outstanding.
