Chris MacDonald went out with an injury in the 1st period.
 
Game notes: Cory Hextall, not a prolific scorer in the past, scored three and
freshman Rob Hutson netted two goals for UIC. Laurentian matched up well for
two periods with UIC's penalty killing a bit shaky. UIC's better physical
condition showed up in the third period and Laurentian was consistently
"muscled off the puck".
 
The 2+2 officiating experiment lasted only a period - referee Perry Petterle
got a face cut at the end of the first period and did not return to the ice.
LOTS of penalties were called - 11 + 9 + 17 - my opinion is that we will have
more penalties as players are replaced for coincidentals.
