Here are some choice quotes from the riots at both campuses. I will leave
you to draw your own conclusions.
Minnesota:
"Getting out in the middle of the street doesn't happen that often. What's
wrong with that?"
Student lighting trash from an overturned trash bin on fire "because the
cops are beating kids. You can't spray tear gas in a crowd of kids."
New Hampshire:
Some students appeared to be intoxicated.
"I don't know about tonight's game, but I'm learning that in a riot, the best
thing to be is sober."
"If they [universitey officials] gave us a place to go, this wouldn't happen.
The university owns all sorts of fields and buildings. They should have
made this a special event and given us some place to go instead of the
street."
[Comment: Sorry, but this didn't work in Minnesota where the event was
sparsely attended. Guess what, they didn't serve beer.]
“Hopefully they [students] won’t bring disrepute to themselves and the
university."
