UNO is now 1-5 on the road, and got swept for their second straight road
series, after suffering their first shutout ever at the hands of UMD by a
score of 3-0. Jason Mitchell was solid in the pipes for UNO, but the Mavs
couldn't get any offense going and suffered some defensive breakdowns. Early
in the game the Mavs had a 5 minute powerplay, but I'm not sure if they got
1 shot on goal during the 5 minute span.
both teams were shut out on the power play.
From a UNO fan's perspective, not much to say, except that the Mavs
definatly like their home ice better than road ice.
UNO takes a week off to prep for finals and to regroup, even the coaches are
taking the week off and practices will be optional and player led. UNO
resumes the toughest part of its schedule when the Mavs meet Michigan Tech
in 2 weeks at home(thank god), then follow up with a home game against New
Hampshire(I'll be there, leading the overrated chants if we get a lead. :-)
) on New Years Eve, on the road for a 2 game set with Saint Cloud St., then
a home and home with Wisconsin.
