During the '94-95 year numerous student athletes received meals in the
institution's on-campus dining facility at no cost to the young men.

Eligibility was restored by the NCAA because the institution required
repayment of these impermissible benefits.

This and several other matters are being reviewed by the enforcement
staff and will be submitted to the committee on infractions for
consideration as a major case and imposition of appropriate penalties.

==============

before official employment by the institution, current assistant
coaches had recruiting contacts with 22 prospective student athletes,
apparently by phone, during the month of july.

the head coach and assistant coaches each received a verbal reprimand.
Additionally, the director of athletics is preparing written
reprimands. Student athlete eligibility was restored by the NCAA.
They noted that in the future, the institution should respond to
inquiries in a more timely fashion. This matter has also been
forwarded to the NCAA enforcement staff.
