Shane Johnson, defenseman
Regina Eilberg Scholarship (for academic achievement):
Jacques Joubert (3.46 GPA)
Clifford P. Fitzgerald Scholarship (for outstanding defenseman)
Rich Brennan, defenseman
Also, Braxxx Brennan said afterwards he would definitely return to
BU next season.
Joubert as captain was obvious (BU selects captains by a player vote)
I was a little surprised Brennan was named MVP. Considering how many times
Parker said his goalies (Herlofsky, McKersie) were the team's MVP afetrxx
afetxx after winning them a ton of games the rest of the team didn't
show up for in December and January. Brennan is perhaps the most talented
player on the team, but the goalies were there every night oexx over the
long haul.
Joubert will be a LOT different than Friedman as captain. Joubert will be
a much more vocal leader and will never be afraid to speak his mind
when things aren't going well. He's got a hell of a job ahead, cleaning
up the emotional mess from the Lake State game. He's go xxxx He's got
to make the team like hockey again and get their minds off last saturday's
shelling. It won't be easy.
