NOTES
* Six HE ties by Maine and PC equal the HE record.
* 3 HE wins and 5 overall wins by UMA also tie HE records (for lows).
* This is the first season in which two teams have tied for first.
* The effect of the shootout and new point system this year was
almost zip. Going by the old 2-1-0 scoring system, there would
have been no change in the final standings at all. The only
difference is that Maine would have finished first outright over
BU by one point. This is if shootouts had never occurred.
* As well, here's what would have happened if the original shootout
scoring system (2 for win/SO win, 1 for SO loss, 0 for loss) had
been maintained:
- Maine and BU would have still tied for first with Maine winning
the tiebreaker.
- UNH and NU would have tied for 3rd with UNH winning the tiebreaker.
- No other positions would have changed.
So, even the old SO scoring system would not have changed the final
standings.
