That's really a great trio ... all three respect the game, understand the
game and communicate well. I can understand why some don't like Melrose,
but I enjoy his commentary.
Gary Thorne has done numerous big hockey and baseball games. He's in my
top-2 hockey current announcers. Besides, I get to listen to him almost
every day (on the NHL 12 game my son plays). I'm sure I'd like Thorne even
if we didn't share the same home town and experiences in youth and Maine
hockey. ;-)

P.S. I've heard an unconfirmed report that the Hobey Baker show production
on MacDill AFB is security-cleared only, so NHL Network and "streamed to
Channelside" are probably our only chances to see it this year. :-(
