Today's Michigan Daily (not always know for its accuracy)
reported that Michigan State's Joe Blackburn was named
CCHA Goaltender of the Year at the CCHA awards banquet
last night. Assuming this is true, I have two questions.
1. What gives with CCHA Goaltender of the Year? I've
never heard of it before.
2. Why is Ohio State's Jeff Maund the All-CCHA First
Team goaltender (Blackburn was second team) if Blackburn
is the GotY? (Apparently, the South African favored Blackburn,
the Brit called it a draw and the American claimed Maund the
victor, but her vision was partially obscured.)
