> What about other teams or longer streaks?
Don't know if this is the "longest" of streaks, but the 91-92 RPI team
had a period of five consecutive overtime games, three ties (possibly
Brown, Vermont, and Dartmouth) followed by a pair of 4-3 wins hosting
Clarkson and St. Lawrence. The five game unbeaten streak was the
team's best in their 6-12-4 10th place ECAC campaign, and was highlighted
by the Engineer's first victory over the Golden Knights in about six hundred
years.
Great fun though, the season ended with a fantastically hot playoff run in
which an appearance in the ECAC championship game was foiled only by a
late-3rd blown 5-2 lead and a double OT loss to SLU in the semis.
Go go go you red red red!
