Princeton and Dartmouth played a 2-2 tie friday night. Both goalies
and defenses played well. Princeton had numerous chances to win this
game, including a 54 second 5 on 3 late in the third period, but could
not get the job done. Most of the overtime was spent in the Dartmouth
end of the ice, but again the Tigers failed to score. With the tie,
Princeton's unbeaten streak climbs to 10 games.
Sharp and Kelly scored for Princeton. Dartmouth's first goal occurred
with only 13 seconds left in a 5 minute major penalty assessed to Gavin
Colquhoun for boarding. Colquhoun was knocked to the ice by a Dartmouth
player, then as the Dartmouth player was heading for the bench at the
end of his shift, Colquhoun returned the favor by boarding the Dartmouth
player.
The trophy from the Dexter Tourney in Maine was on display at Baker Rink.
It's a nice looking trophy; it's a statue of a Black Bear.
