Maine takes 7 of 10 points this weekend as the Black Bears and Terriers
played a great 5-5 tie game Saturday night. After BU scored the opening
goal, Maine scored two goals within seconds of each other to go up 2-1.
Maine would lead 3-2 after one. Maine would build a 5-3 lead, only to let
BU back in 5-5 with half the third period remaining. Both teams went end to
end in overtime, showing that teams in HE don't play for the tie, since if
anyone would, it would have shown in this game. Maine remains UNDEFEATED at
11-0-4. I'm sure someone else will post details, and a box score. Overall,
I thought it was a great weekend for hockey. Maine/BU is always a heated
rivarly, but both teams showed they will be competitors in March, and Maine
showed that they are undefeated for a reason, and that it is not a fluke.
