"Lake Superior's Pooly offered PC hockey post" by Joe Concannon
 
  Providence College reportedly has offered its hockey coaching job to
Paul Pooley, associate coach of the 1994 NCAA champion Lake Superior
State.  Pooley's experience is all in the Central Collegiate Hockey
Assocation.  He was an All-American and three-year letterman for Ohio
State, where he finished as the school's all-time leading scorer.
After a stint as a minor league player, Pooley became an assistant
coach at Ohio State and moved to Lake Superior State in 1991.

"Miscellany: BU places five on US Select Team"
 
  Chris O'Sullivan of Dorchester and Jay Pandalfo of Burlington are
among five Boston University hockey players who were named to the USA
Select Team, which will compete in the Tampere Cup Aug. 18-21 in
Finland.  Terrier forwards Jaucques Joubert, Mike Pomichter and Rob
LaChance also were selected to the squad along with Vermont goalie
Tim Thomas and Yale forward John Emmons.  Providence Bruins assistant
coach Mark Kumpel of Hyannis was named assistant coach.
