Eric Rickin asked about the members of the Michigan Wolverines that are
leaving this season.

There are only 5 seniors, but one didn't play hardly at all this year.
Denny Felsner (will go to St. Louis Blues)
        Mike Helber (Winnipeg Jets)
        Doug Evans (Winnipeg Jets)
        Ted Kramer (LA Kings)

As for other non-seniors leaving for the NHL, there are a few
who might think about it, like David Roberts or Brian Wiseman,
but Red Berenson runs a 4-year program.

Coach Red, when asked about players leaving early, tells us
outsiders that the he runs a four year program, and those he
recruits are told that if you are not going to stay for those
four years, don't come at all.

Besides, the NHL is not like the NFL where leaving early from
college is good. NHL salaries are lower, and there are less
spots for those who are not graduated yet...They compete with
Canadien Juniors. So, most, if not all, college players stick
around for four years.

The good news in all of this, Most of the Mich team is young,
i.e. sophs!, and we will be around for the next couple of years,
at least ! :) :) :)!

Good luck to the Maize 'n' Blue in Albany!
