Well chalk one up for Fairbanks. Not only did they win the game, they
then won the shoot-off afterwards 3-1 for the inaugural Governor's Cup.
UAF completely dominated the game, running up a couple
of power play goals and several chances for short handed ones. The one
bright spot for UAA was Freshman Chris Davis was put in mid second period
and showed off why he's already been drafted by the Buffalo Sabres by
stopping in one series 4 consecutive point blank shots.
A foot note, Dean Fedorchuk continued his scoring ways by lighting the lamp
twice more, giving him a nation leading 9 goals(im pretty sure). Wow,
watch out, he has always been good, but this year he's pretty much
possessed.
