Teams were given 15 points for a first-place vote, 14 for a second-place
vote, and so on down to 1 point for a fifteenth-place vote. Total first-
place votes are in parentheses.
Congratulations once again to the University of Maine Black Bears, who in
winning the national championship retained the top spot in the HOCKEY-L poll
for the 22nd straight week.

This wraps up the HOCKEY-L poll's second season, and once again, my heart-
felt thanks to all of you who participated this year and helped make the
poll a success. So long for now -- we'll begin anew next season with the
HOCKEY-L preseason poll, probably sometime in late September.
