As many of you have pointed out thru my mailbox,Montgomery scored Maine's
first two goals Sat. night vs. UNH. This is what I get for not having the
stat sheets in front of me;and trying to recall a game at 4 AM,after a 4-hour
bus ride. Now I understand why game summaries don't become posted until the
morning after games. Anyway,I'm glad to see that all of the other summaries we
re correct.
As for my comment about the NC$$ tournament(UM,UNH,BU,PC making the field),
I was not able to read all of the information which was discussed last weekend
because I was in Boston with the team. My primary question was:What are the ch
ances of BU going West? Since the prevailing opinion is that only three HEast
teams are going,BU will likely end up a #4 seed(which would likely mean a
quarterfinal matchup with ....UMaine Saturday,March 28.
Also,in looking at the tournament format,as given in the NC$$ quarterfinals
ticket information, the #1East seed meets the #2West seed in the semifinal game
in Albany. If that were the case,my pick of an all UM final (Maine-Michigan)
could be in jeopardy. However,it could still be all UM(Minnesota-Maine).
