Colby is moving to Division III next year. They wanted to move down
this year, but the way I understand it the administration wouldn't let
them. Also, when they made the decision to move down many of its top
players transferred out.

After seeing Colby this past weekend, let me tell you that I was
impressed with the class of this program. In the handshake after the
first game with Maine, players were saying, "Thanks for playing us."
and really nice comments like that.

Also, Colby plays hard for 60 minutes every game. They are not very
talented at all, but they play hard even though they know they are
going to lose most every game and many badly.

It should also be noted that Colby netminder Josie Chapman set an ECAC
record two weekends ago making 95 saves in a game. Colby lost to Brown
9-0 and was outshot something terrible like 104-2 (no typo.. Brown had
104 shots, I'm just unsure of Colby's shot total). Chapman is an
excellent goaltender, just has no help. She made some great saves last
weekend, but gets tired by the second night I think.
