Just to set the record straight...

I was at one of if not the best MAAC games to date (UConn defeated
Quinnipiac 2-1 at UConn beautiful new facility with over 1200 in
attendance) and I have talked with our supervisor of officials and our
head coach, Rand Pedcknold

At the buzzer to end the game there was a scuffle in a corner....

As teams left their benches, the referees told the Quinnipiac team to go
directly to their locker room (both teams leave the ice from the same
door).

Any insinuation that Quinnipiac refused to shake hands is incorrect.
Quinnipiac College is very proud to be playing Division I hockey in the
MAAC Hockey League and we want to be sure that our players, coaches and
staff are held to the highest standards of ethical conduct.

It was a great game that UConn deserved to win and we are sorry that
some fans misunderstood what happened at the end of the game.

Our players and coaches did what the officials asked them to do.
