Living in fantasy land, Tom Rowe suggests:
How about a rule that all sticks used in the game have to be certified
legal before the game by being measured by the linesman (linesmen) and
tagged with a marker that would be hard to transfer to another stick.
Then leave all the certified sticks, and only the certified sticks, in
the bench area for the whole game. And if a player is found with a
tampered with stick, its a major, not a minor penalty.
If hockey is a game played by rules, and if too much curve on a stick is
deemed a bad thing, then how about a rule that actually prevents the use
of sticks with too much curve? Or am I missing something here? I.e.,
is it possible to add or subtract curve to a stick during a game?
