BU 7, at BC 4
at Maine 5, Northeastern 1
Mass Lowell 5, at UNH 3
Mass Amherst 7, at Providence 3 (!)
Merrimack at Alaska-Fairbanks (NC, still underway)

With Lowell's win and NU's loss, Lowell pulls ahead of NU into 4th.
The River Hawks are up 4 pts on NU with 2 games in hand. UML can gain
3rd by beating UNH Sat night.

Another big win for the Minutemen, who are 2-1 in their last 3 HE
games. If they are able to win Sunday at home vs PC, they would pull
within 7 pts of 8th place PC with one game in hand.

In the BU-BC game, BU outshot the Eagles 21-4 in the first but led
only 3-2. BU would then outshoot BC only 16-12 the rest of the way.
It was still a game with both teams playing good defense in the 2nd
until BU broke it open with 3 goals to take a 6-2 lead after two.

However, BC had the better of the play in the third and scored twice
to nearly make it interesting, but BU added the ENG for the 7-4 final.
In the postgame interview on NESN, Jack Parker was not happy with the
way the Terriers struggled in the third during BC's strong comeback.
BC had a chance but bad penalties and terrible defense hurt them.
Eagle goalie Greg Taylor played superbly in the first to keep it
close. Watching this game, I had to wonder where BC would be this
season without Taylor. Yet, their play in the third was inspired...
too little too late as it was.

A note on NESN's coverage of HE: Sunday, PC is at Mass Amherst in a
game that will be played at 2 pm ET. However, NESN will have delayed
coverage that evening at 7 pm.
