While "Channel Surfing" last night I came across an IHL game between the
Minnesota Moose and the Atlanta Knights, that was on ESPN2. I got to see
part of the second period, and all of the third. The one thing I noticed
about this game was that there seemed to be more fights than usual. It was
as if the players were trying to prove something to everyone watching. But,
what really caught my eye was the puck they were using. On TV it looked
florescent green, like one of those "glow sticks" the kids use around
Halloween, but it supposedly looks like a standard puck to the players and
the fans.
Overall I thought it was a good game, with plenty of action, and scoring.
The Ferraro brothers scored four of Atlanta's seven goals. Watching the
two of them work together was really enjoyable.
The "Moose" were winning for most of the game, but ended up losing 7 to 6.
I was hoping the game would end in a tie so I could see the "Shoot-out"
the announcers were talking about.
