In honor of National Poetry Month, we recently hosted the award winning poet (and local resident) Richard Foerster for an evening of poetry. It was a special night--Richard read from his latest collection, "River Road," a series of beautifully crafted poems about aging, love, and the quiet epiphanies of the natural world. Richard is a superb reader and recipient of multiple National Endowment for the Arts fellowships, among other honors. His poems are accessible, yet uniquely rich with pleasures for the ear, heart, and mind. If you'd like him to read at your library, you can reach him at [log in to unmask]
