After having stuck my foot in my mouth, jumping the gun on schedule
analysis, I have re-evaluated my position. A mathematical anaysis of the
nonconference schedule, using last year's final RPI ratings, shows that
l;ast years opponents averaged 19/44 where this upcoming year's averaged a
21/44. Not a big difference, as was pointed out. In addition I think I do
actually prefer this year's schedule now, since I'm going to actually have
a chance to see the games. All are on the East Coast, with the exception
of the Michigan game, and I plan to make that roadtrip, it being over
winter break. It is going to be interesting to see some different hockey
teams at Lynah (Ferris and Miami), I think its great to be able to play new
teams and a great opportunity for Cornell's fans to get acquainted with the
larger, non-ECAC world of college hockey, something we haven't had much of
a chance to do in recent years.

Football combines the worst features of American life. It is violence
punctuated by committee meetings."
