Given that there are only 44 Div I teams to follow & following them is the point of this list I can't believe anyone that cares hasn't noticed.  But beyond that, any given confrence will have good years & off years (depending on how you define a good year -- i.e. many close competetive games, entries into the finals, championships).  Saying "we" are really doing well right now (or did wonderfully 6 years ago) is not the same as saying "we" are a superior conf.  The former is fact of some interest to H-L readers the latter is woofing more appropriate for the frat house.  I defy anyone to list criteria by which one conf could be demonstrated to be "superior" to the others.  They each have had their moments & given the vagaries of recruiting will again.
 
My .02, in the hopes that my only source of college hockey coverage does not decline into mindless woofing.
